On Monday, May 19, 2025, Carmyn Robey-Robinson was ceremonially sworn in as the newest member of the Manvel City Council and sat for her first regular meeting as Council Place #4.
Robey-Robinson joins Manvel City Council following the May 2025 General Election. The ceremony took place during the regularly scheduled City Council meeting, following the procedural swearing-in at the Special-Called Council Meeting on May 13, 2025, to canvass the election.
Councilmember Robey-Robinson was surrounded by family and friends as she took the ceremonial oath of office, marking the beginning of her service to the Manvel community.
“We are proud to welcome Councilmember Robey-Robinson to the team,” said Mayor Dan Davis. “Her experience, perspective, and dedication to service will be a valuable asset as we continue shaping Manvel’s future together.”
The election for Council Place #6 is proceeding to a run-off election on Saturday, June 7, 2025. Early voting will be held May 27 – 31 and June 2 – 3.
