Effective December 2009, all persons who currently have a monitored alarm system or wanting to install a monitored alarm system at their location within the City of Manvel must apply for a permit. This has become necessary due to large number of FALSE alarms our public safety personnel answer. Approved applicants will receive a receipt in the mail indicating they have been approved.
False alarm violations will be fined as follows:
- Burglar, which also includes all other false alarms with the exception of fire: $50.00 (After 5 in a 12 month period)
- Fire: $100.00 (After 2 in 12 month period)
Burglar Alarm Permits are to be submitted to the Manvel Police Department for processing. The only acceptable forms of payment are check or money order, no cash or credit cards accepted.
