Duties of City Secretary- The City Secretary serves as the City Records Management Officer, and maintains the accurate records for the City that are available to the public.
- Serves as the City Insurance and Benefits Administrator.
- Conducts all municipal elections and serves as the early voting clerk.
- Prepares and distributes City Council agenda packets and materials.
- Posting all agendas of meetings of the City Council as required by the Open Meetings Act.
- Maintains the official minutes books and permanent files, and official seals.
- Prepares and coordinates submittals for the City’s Codification of Ordinances supplements.
- Prepares and transmits public hearing advertisements and legal notices to the official newspaper as required by ordinance.
- Compiles and maintains City employee personnel files.
- Assists residents with questions and refers them to the proper department.
