June 1 Marks the Beginning of Hurricane Season

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration predicted on May 22 that projected climate conditions point to a near normal or above normal hurricane season in the Atlantic Basin this year. The first named storm of the season Tropical Storm Arthur developed late Friday and moved slowy across the Yucatan this weekend and the City of Manvel is reminding people preparing for hurricanes is a shared responsibility.
