Mayor Davis, Councilmember Opliger, and Councilmember Sarmiento Sworn into Office

The citizens of Manvel have elected Mayor Dan Davis, Councilmember Harry Opliger, Place 3, and Councilmember Crystal Sarmiento, Place 5, to serve on the City Council for the term 2023-2026. The three newly elected officials were sworn into office on Monday, May 15, 2023, and took their seats at the dais for the Regular Meeting of the Manvel City Council that evening.

Mayor Davis and Councilmembers Opliger and Sarmiento have stated that they are eager to work with the other members of the Manvel City Council, City staff, and Manvel residents to address the many exciting developments coming to the community, including improvements to public safety, economic development, and infrastructure.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by family, friends, and supporters of the newly elected officials. The turnout was a testament to the enthusiasm and dedication that Manvel residents have for their city and its future. Manvel City Council is ready to hit the ground running and begin serving the citizens of Manvel.
